Oh me oh my had a great weekend on and off the water as the inclement conditions had the fish biting as we caught a few big smallmouth but that made today a very tough morning leading to a better afternoon. The morning was plastics and jigs with rock bass and buck largemouth so we switched it up in afternoon to drop shot crawler pc. And of course the rock bass, bluegill and little smallmouth while the plastics only had rock bass changed locations and found a couple bigger largemouths before the rain sent us packing.
With the crazy weather the water temperature has went to 62 degrees this morning bass still on beds everywhere gills, sunfish and rock bass getting ready to spawn walleye’s on the breaks oh ya crappie still on the weedeges it’s all in being there at the right time. I am not a big bed picker so we have casted drop shots and c-rigs with plastics and while most are bucks you never now what’s next. Have a incredible weekend be safe be patient the weather will keep the traffic down hopefully set reel get the net.

Never hurts to check the dnr calendar for permitted tournaments no matter where your plans take you. On LG if there is a bass tournament, don't even bother trying at Williams Bay until after 2pm or launch elsewhere.

Fished 6-11 pm last night. My merc is still an issue, no power, hard starting, back to the shop she goes. Fishing was slow, casting only produced a few rockies. Started a troll, a few more rockies. Made a move, changed lures, bingo, a 2.77 lm. Minutes later a 4.88 lm. Kev got an 18 inch eye, just before the bass bit. Rest of the troll produced way too many rockies, then another lm about 2lbs. Engine almost wouldn't start, but finally did, and we called it a night. Good luck, good fishing, Woody!
