Cheapest coffee wins 44/45! Lol I have never heard that before either?
How do you burn it? Over wood? I’m curious on this one now. Might work for campfire with No-Wind condition. I would test it out by campfire in a couple weeks.
Skeeters must be bad cause everyone is talkin about it!

Normally I don't have much for mosquito's around my yard, probably because it's fairly open. But the last 2 day's, they have been terrible and may make for a not so fun upcoming weekend. It took me a while to find a can that would spray as I haven't used any repellant for 2 year's, and it must get old or clogged. I swear by repel, and I have used it in each of the last 2 day's daytime. Make sure that you have repellent on your shopping list!
I have read where you can light some coffee grounds and use it as a repellant. Well, I will say that it cleared my garage of all mosquitoes and myself as the smell was a little overwhelming. So I moved my metal container outside to the approach and it still worked good enough to say that I would do it again.

Got up to our bird hunting land this weekend, trees look like they just sprouted leaves about a week ago, grass barley needed to be cut. The ferns were just coming out of the ground and unferrling. Everything there seems at least 3 weeks behind us down by lake geneva. Funny how a few hundred miles makes that big a difference. Oh and seemed very dry up there, river was at july level.
Idiot season has officially started for me, I was waiting for the ever increasing NASCAR traffic, a couple more weeks to the peak and the rest of summer. Found a McDonalds bag of trash scattered down the road out of town to our lake. The receipt was from Baldwin Plaza Drive at 1:43 found it at 3:43. 90 miles away. Cant wait for the idiots with the oversized go karts that dont adhere to any speed law in town or otherwise, and their loud mufflers blasting Sucks that they made any road open to those things.I say if they are using the roads they should all pay license plate fees for using public roadways.and enforced to eliminate exhaust noise.
Steelhead88, well, I have actually been traveling to Northern Oconto Co. for 57 years now. I can almost make the trip with my eyes closed! Almost!
It's unreal how a short distance can make a difference with the bugs and ticks. For an outdoorsman, I don't believe that I used repellant once in the last 2 years, and maybe pulled 1 tick in the last 5. However, at a friends down the road, you cannot go from the house to the garage without picking up a tick, and after dark, the skeeters will drive you crazy. The most likely difference is being in the open vrs being in the woods. I do enjoy when the dragon flies hatch. I almost feel like wearing my helmet when cutting the grass!
44/45 - Can always tell the new ones to the north , always rediscovering what is commonplace for decades & post it . If I’m correct with a previous post you’re south of Ashland a bit , know the area well . It’s not uncommon to still have snow in the woods this time of year , let alone wet . First gnats & ticks , mosquitos & horse/deerflies that follow . Welcome to the north & enjoy as you learn . 🦌
Out with the tractor yesterday trying to disc last year's food plot. It did not go so well. Alot of moisture in the ground yet had my tires spinning and stuck several times. More rain likely today. Cut the lawn for the first time. I think it's about 2 week's early for that. Gnat's are bad right now!
