Tons of Channels. Good average size. They've been in the shallows in the evenings/nights a lot lately.

The Rock has good numbers of channel cats. The 1st mile or two above  Koshkonong was always good.                                                             I also caught quite a few above I-94 but they ran smaller. With the low water this year that stretch might be tough to fish.

From Milwaukee?  Consider Beaver Dam Lake.  Check the posts on that thread or stop at a local bait shop there.  

Looking for a little help fellas. Not a guy who's ever targeted catfish honestly,  I prefer to chase smallies, but a good friend of mine loves to fish for them. Problem is he just sucks at it. He's been driving up from Milwaukee to fish the Oshkosh are a couple times a week and he can't seam to find any fish. I keep telling him to find a new spot but he's reluctant to try a new spot. I told him I'd do some research and try to find him a spot or 2 to try. I don't wanna steal anyone's honey hole, just looking for a fish within a 2 hour drive of Milwaukee.. any help will be greatly appreciated!!

You live near a good spot… try below the Rothschild dam.  Slip sinker/ Carolina type rig.  Nice sized circle hook.  Piece of cut sucker.  Or, get some stink bait… Triple S, Secret 7, or something similar.  Check YouTube on proper rigging.  

Live in the Wausau area (Schofield) and am  looking for any advice on catching a few Catfish. I fish for just about everything else but have never targeted Catfish but would like too give it a shot. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Fished 645-9 with Norman and Michelle .  They drove up from Waukegan to fish the Corridor.  We tossed Power Punch, CJ’s punch, crawlers, and chicken liver at them.  Cheese power punch was most active.  But CJ and chicken liver also produced.  They were still it when I left at 9.  Had 12 at that time.

Well... I'M BACK!!! (hope ya enjoyed the BREAK from my "cattin" ramblin's!") ;-p

Broke in my "new Merc outboard" today and it purred like a kitten (channel cat?) ;-p  ME thinks I'll be putting a FEW water miles on it in retirement! Took daughter's husband's Best Man (Conway) out on nearby Little Lake Butte des Morts this AM and he had a (wait for it...) CAT-TASTIC TIME!!! :-0 He wrangled and CPR-ed two 6 pounders while I chipped in with a fun fightin' 7 pounder (all on Triple S BLOOD formula). Before calling it quits this AM, hit a spot below the Highway 141 bridge  (where I got my PB cat (15#) earlier this summer. Not to be outdone, Conway ties into a (dramatic pause...) 15.5 pound channel catfish!!! Was the 20 minute long tussle memorable? ("Does a catfish have whiskers/ barbels???") ;-))

Yep... thinking Conway now knows WHY "The TUG is the DRUG and CATFISHING'S the CURE!!!"

Next up? A FUN-FILLED STURGEON FISHING SESSION in WI Dells on Tuesday with Catitude (Rick) and Eric (fishin' friend from the Dells). Yep... 2 upcoming sturgeoning sessions the next few weeks + numerous cattin' sessions on LLBM! Drop me a line (message) if ya wanna fish for some RIVER MONSTERS before the snow flies!
