Did you happen to read the second post down from yours?  I believe the catfish corridor they speak of is near Point.

I was on the Rock River in Fort Atkinson and watched this group of fishermen parked and casting right up to shore.  They must have caught 30 cats with many doubles in the line.  I saw some well over 20#.  What an epoch day for these fellows.  No idea what bait they were using.  BB

Open water catting has arrived.  Oscar and I hit the Catfish Corridor this morning from 7:30-10:30.  Beautiful morning glass calm listening to mother nature wake up from winter napping. We invited 17 cats to a minnow snack and a photo session.

I have caught cats in Pools 6 thru 10 going back to the 60's. I have never seen the Commercial Fishermen near any of the dams. They fish for a living.

While I have caught cats by the dams I tend to look farther downstream. I've been across the Hwy. 61 bridge hundreds of times. I'm sure there is good cattin' down there. Your just gonna have to put in some time getting em dialed in. Triple S dip is great way to find channel cats.
            Good Luck

I've been looking for somewhere to do some weekend catfishing trips this summer and like this Lake O'Leary area on the Wisc. side below the Dubuque Iowa dam. I didn't find much online about catfishing this area but I like this area because from where i live it would be only a 2 1/2 hour drive and I can be on the banks of the Mississippi River. Just curious if anyone has ever catfished here?

Catfish on the short stick!!!  Finally have ice on the Catfish Corridor.  We fished 8-12 today with 4 cats and a walleye on the ice.  Plenty of cats on the Vex but could not talk them into it.  Minnow sliver with a waxies on a rattling spoon was the ticket.  Way to cold to shoot photos before fish froze.

Happy Holidays, All!

Hope all of you Cattin' Fanatics are doing well! Hope you all wrangled BUNCHES of our whiskered friends this year! :-)

Retirement and moving to a new city (near CATTIN' waters, of course!) kept me off the water some (thus less fishing reports... thankfully, I'm sure!) ;-p but still got on the waters some to have some fishin' fun!

When April 2024 rolls around, I'll be out there in search of our fun fightin' friends again! Drop me a line (or message!) and we'll search the watery highways and byways for our favorite finned friends: CATFISH!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND HAVE A WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!!

Ralph (aka The Mad " Wishin' Ya'll Well" Catter!) :-)

Mark and I chatted with 10 this morning from 8-11.  Tough wind blowing right into our faces.  Tough to watch bites.  Fatheads were snack of choice.  Average was small even for the Catfish Corridor, right in the pound range.  Great bone in eater size.  Just yards away were my tipups will be soon.  Early morning skim ice on the Stevens Point Flowage area.

Went to the famous Catfish Corridor this afternoon for a few hours.  Grabbed a cup of minnows and some waxies out of the local bait and beer store then headed to the river.  Stunning night for some catfishing.  On the river for 3 hours and we chatted with 12 guests.  None on waxies, a couple on VERY experienced minnows but most on the Floaters from the Bait Shop.  If you can not find your cats now, it is going to be a long winter.  Cats are snuggling into their winter holes and will not be far from them for quite some time.
