I took a quick look this afternoon and it appeared to be very fishable. That said, not a single boat in sight. I think the run happened with / during the high water, temps were right. Water temps yesterday at Petenwell dam were 45 and we only caught spent males.

How is the flow at ?the dam and is it fishable on boats by the dam? ?TIA

The flow rate is 37,000 cfs still not fishable. Under 20,000 cfs  would start to get fishable.

Has the dam been at all fishable in the last couple of weeks? Have been hoping to make it over but theflow rate has been crazy.

I was just down there this morning. Extremely fast and very rough (44k cfs) there wasn’t even a single boat out. 

I was at the VFW  boat launch, an the pier is level with the top of the ramp. So its about 9 feet high  an moving fast 
An yes there were boats out on the water wasting their time

In my opinion16,000 is fine. 20 is when it starts to get tough. 25 it starts to get very difficult. 30, close to impossible. I use jig and minnow. I’m sure people can use different rigs with weights, but there is a point where it isn’t much fun anymore. I’ve never seen the flow this high though!

The flow is up to 43,000. How long does it take to get down? My guest is not by Saturday?
