Are you sure they were tickets? If so, I wonder why?
Maybe they were envelopes to pay for launching?  I'm thinking maybe the VFW box has been empty all winter and the guys were launching with nowhere to pay.

I was checking out the Dam area to maybe fish this week . I counted 16 boats by the Dam . Thru my binoculars I didn't see anyone catching anything. I did notice a lot of trucks with tickets on their wipers in the trailer lot . 

Fished Wednesday, a little slow, two of us caught about 20 total in 4 hours. Just a few keeper size.  Warden checking for fish, life preservers, fire extinguisher, etc.  at landing.   Was a great day that got a little windy in the afternoon.

the VFW launch is open the dam had one spill gate open yesterday the walleye fish has been extremely slow I thought maybe it was because there wasn't that much current but even yesterday with the spill gate open and faster current the fishing was slow there is a lot of dead shad this year I'm thinking that has contributed to the slow fishing good luck all stay safe and please respect other fisherman's space when fishing we all know it can get very busy up by the dam
