Wisconsin River - Prairie Du Sac

Flow rate is way up 32,000 to 40,000 cfs now would be impossible to fish there now. I've fished at 16,000 cfs maybe up to 18,000 cfs .

At what flow rate does it get hard to fish below the dam 16000 CFS or higher ?

Before the gates opened up and the river started to get violent, fishing was starting to pick up! If you venture out there... be SAFE! Here is a video from last week

FYI-  River will be in flood stage at Portage cresting tonight at 17.5 feet and fall below flood stage by next Tuesday.  Flow at the dam right now is 31,000 cfs.  Not going to be a good weekend for fishing.  Have fun if you do get out. Rat.

Any sturgeon being caught?

I was there yesterday.  OK day to fish.  Caught mostly walleye, only 1 sauger.  All walleye cookie cutter 15 inchers.  Water temp at 0100 was 34.5.
I agree with Rat.  White tags are the receipt stub to launch on dash of windshield.   It would be pretty low to short the vets at the launch.

If boats are launching Mel will be collecting money up there daily.  I'm guessing those are put in the windshield to show you've paid.  good luck up there. Rat.
