I figured the pike would like this lure, but I managed to find one nice bass with it, too. A student of mine gave it to me to try out. It worked really well.  Water still felt cold, but I imagine after this weekend, the conditions will be different.

Fished a SE Wisconsin shore fishing spot in Milwaukee a few days ago and found some hungry fish that just wanted one lure!

News flash - the crappie was biting real good 👍 We took fish on the classic #4 gold hook with a small fathead. Also took fish on Kalin’s 2” twister tail. My son even put a Kalin’s crappie Scrub on the end of his gold hook and nailed about five in a row. Everything seems to be early this year, so get out there and enjoy! Tight lines, WB

Things have finally heated up !  65*s water  sure makes things happen, what a fun day

Had a rough fish contest with Bass Abductor.  His biggest fishy was bigger than my biggest fishy

Cold and Blustery winds  20 ...30 mph SE..off Lk Mich what was I thinking ?  
water temps were 53* but I just needed to wet a line it was actually a fun day !
All were CPR ... crappies showing color so the spawn will be full swing soon.
Casting plastic worked for me.

Walking the dog this morning and was drooling the whole time as this wind was just a blowin'.....geez I love these windy spring days....got to a busy lake today about 330....got one on the second cast and pretty much pounded the bass consistenty till after dark.....nothing wanted the jerk bait, but they were chewing the paint off a lipless at times and absolutely gobbling up the texas rig craws.    My thumbs hurt!  

Looking for bass but catching the wrong things. Wandered around several different creeks, rivers, and a swamp lake in Southern Wisconsin.  Maybe I should have just tried for panfish instead. Either way, my homemade inline spinner really works well!
