Plenty of parking at Wendts. I don't think they come in that shallow unit they spawn, usually another 3 weeks from now.

Jimijigs means NorthEast of Wendt's.
Northwest is land.

The north side of the big island north west of Wendt's is the most popular, and not a bad hike. People are getting some randomly now while Perch fishing, but the run usually coincides with the Sturgeon season.

Not looking for anyone’s exact spots, haven’t fished Winnebago but want to try to catch a couple burbot. Can anyone point me into a decent starting spot? I have navionics to see where the landings and what not are. Thank you.

Partly Sunny 15°
Out Sunday from 9 to 12 30 out of asylum Bay. Bite was good until noon. Then the wind picked up and the bite slowed. Best bait was a gold crushed ice Swedish pimple with spikes. Rap would bring them in but they wouldn't commit. Ended with 9 for the pan. Tight lines!

Ice: 10"
Got back out today on West side, ice was about 10". That's an estimate, I didn't measure it. Perch were active early, then a lull, and another batch came thru. Fished til 1:30, last fish was at 11:30. Ended up with 14, most were nice size. 11' of water, couple feet off bottom. Small gold Kastmaster, and dead stick with Rosey Reds, about 1/2 on each.
