Sounds like a Fish Donkey App Tournament!! Im in 3 now. They are fantastic. Lot of fun. Relatively cheap. It adds another layer to your fishing. It makes it competitive if you’re into that. Plus, you can fish and make money! If you guys haven’t, check it out. As a matter of fact Billy, I’m gonna be reaching out to you because I need a 27 inch lake trout! Was hoping to get it through the ice if we get some this coming winter. It is always a blast getting out with The Night Prowler!! I’ve been out with a lot of guides in my life. All over the country. Bill really does make it a good time. He is hands down one of the best guides we fish with. And keep in mind, we have a boat, have live scope, fish on a team, and have a few sponsors. Still we go out with Billy Heim!! Great guy! Tons of knowledge.

What a fun day the challenge was simple catch 5 crappie that top 60 inches and she had 7 days ( started Monday) to compete as this is a country wide contest. I picked today because of the clouds and rain coming in we met at 5:30am first spot she misses her first fish ( bobber and minnow) then lands a 10 inch miss two more then lands a 13 inch miss a big girl at the boat then she lands a 10 then a 11 inch the winds pick up the sun comes out the bite slows we move. We set up around some docks but only came up with a largemouth ( I caught) made a move set up and a 12 then a 11 then a 12 the the wind picks up we make the run in. After going thru pics it looks like she ended with 59 inches ( have to verify) hopefully we get one more chance ( I am booked up) before Monday night as it ends at midnight.

Hi I'm looking for help with crappie fishing.  What to use, we're to go, and how deep in May. Want to bring my grandson out. We were out there in Early June last year and just kill the Rock bass and Largemouth. He even caught his personal best Largemouth. Thanks Scott

What a crazy spring plenty of wind and temperature swings the crappie bite when cloudy and raining is still over the dead weeds but it has been very inconsistent so I have started chasing bass and the bite has been getting better and shallower by the day with the jig and c-rig and swim bait. The walleye seem to be finishing up spawning which will have them chomping for the opener. I do have evening openings for walleyes after opening day,

The panfish can be caught and kept throughout the year and we can catch photo and release bass till the opening day the walleyes are closed till 1sr Saturday in may. We have been chasing both the green and brown bass and it is getting better daily what a cool deal as the lake is empty of pleasure boaters and with the warmer weather the bass have been in 5th to 15ft a very slow drag with plastic or a very slow rolling a baby swim bait have been producing. Did a crappie guide and when things are right it is on but the right thing ( clouds, wind, temperature) is not every day and does not always last long. Remember slow feel weight set and reel.
