Cloudy 62°
Water: 63°
Fished BEP yesterday trolling crankbaits. Caught 6 walleye total ranging from 12-14 inch and one 21 inch walleye. All caught early evening in 6 to 7 fow. Water surface temp ranging from 61 to 64 degrees. Quite a few boats but anyone I spoke with were not having much luck.
Big One. The BEP used to have a fairly fishable muskie population but after the summer of 2011 and a couple winter kills you don't hear about many. I believe that after said events the local club stopped stocking them. The Wisconsin and its tribs are still loaded with skis, there's just a lot of competition.
Water: 54°
Water temp was between 48-54 this weekend where we fished. Did catch a few nice males but only 1 was milking, I’d imagine most have spawned already.
Decent weekend of fishing, 4 nice eater walleyes and a slot (23”). Jig and a minnow on the first 2 and ripping rap worked nice and slow on the other 2. Handful of shorts, it was relatively slow besides the 10-15 minute windows where we’d catch a few.

An old (80 years old) friend of mine was fishing the north side under the 34 bridge in Knowlton/Dancy around the 13th of April and forgot a7 foot Fenwick Eagle rod with a Vortex 2000 reel. He only lives a mile or so away but by the time he turned around to retrieve it, it was gone. If someone has this and would be Kind enough to return it, you can call or text me at 715-383-9933.
It would be Greatly Appreciated!

Ice: 12"
Went out yesterday 3/19. Walked out from County Park, ice had a top layer of 2-4" of hard packed snow followed by 1" of ice little bit of slush and 12"+ of ice. I couldn't get shack anchors past the slush and instead settled to anchor in the 1" of ice just under the top layer snow. Started slow in 8 fow, didn't see anything and moved to 15 fow where we spent 4 hours catching 20-30 Crappies between 2 guys, some decent sized some smaller that were released. We ended up taking a few home for a meal for our efforts. Didn't see any trucks on the ice but there were some sleds and 4 wheelers.
