we fished walleyes and pike sunday july 2 in late afternoon. went off the county landing to the first reef and worked the edges without marking a fish. because of the crazy boat and pwc traffic we tried to fish deeper areas but they were hard to find! we finished by trying treacherous bay in 10 ft of water over weeds and saw panfish being chased by a big musky but that was it. any tips about fishing this lake are appreciated!

Had fun yesterday after finding some smallmouth in shallow, 2 - 6 feet, eating crawfish. Water temperature was 75-78. Nice day it was, even saw some clouds.

Otto.  I respect your view but mine is completely different.

chemicals/fertilizer/pesticides are always the first things to get blamed.  All of that has been going on for decades.  Has it caught up?  Doubtful.  Probably got too warm too fast.  Lots of lakes are suffering the same fate.  Easier to blame a home owner or a farmer.  That is what I think about the subject.  If it were a particular event/person/farm, the DNR would be all over it.

It was all types of fish. I was thinking maybe the water warmed to fast and low oxygen. With a lot of fertilizer you would have an algae bloom wouldn’t you.

The DNR was supposedly going to do a water study to try and figure out the exact reason, if it was caused by chemical run off or not.
