Was out bass fishing about a week ago. Saw these search up shallow. Water was Very calm. Backed off, got out a light stick threw on a clear & green plastic. Took about 3 hours fishing for them as they were very finicky but did get some. Their bellies were loaded with spider hellgramites. Went out this past Thursday. Perch were gone so I bass fished anyway. Had a good day, 6 between 14" & 16". A bunch of little buck bass. Then a 32" pike to boot. All fish except the Perch still swimming.

Got out very early, moved around a bit, left with 8 gills, 1 crappie. Caught a big bass. All on night crawlers chunks, they wouldn't touch minnows or worms.  Non-stop action, tons of under 8" gills and small perch. Only one gill had eggs so just males are showing up. Crappie was a male too.  Small pink headed jig head.

Got out early got 3 really nice gills, caught a bunch of 6-7"s,  when the sun got up higher they shut off.  I fished out an aluminum bracket that I saw under water at the launch.  Sharp enough to cut a tire.  Believe it goes to the back end of a boat. I will get a pic of it up when I can.  Let me now if it's yours. May still be able to use it, better than none.

Unless you're fishing Gilbert's in the summer snagging on weeds there aren't many snags on this lake. Attached is a map of where I catch quite a few bass and walleye. The best walleye spots aren't on there but go have fun and release the bass unless eating bass is your thing.

Are there many areas where you guys get lots of snags?   Care to share those areas?

Not sure what you mean by lake depth. In 20 years I've never seen much change in water levels but I don't really pay that much attention to that.  If you mean water temp, I didn't even bother turning on my locator as I knew where I was going looking for perch and crappie.
