Castle Rock Lake

Camping and fishing at buckhorn for the first time this weekend. Any tips for walleye and bass on the yellow river side of lake? Anyone seen em on beds yet or still a little early?

We went to Castle Rock to try for crappies in the Little Yellow but not one. There are a lot of short walleyes though.

Water levels are within a few inches of average summer pool.

WRPC advised this was not on their project list as it is adjacent to "private land".
Apparently this is a township or county issue.

As stated below, this is just east of the north shore boat ramp in the little yellow.
Yes, they are tearing up the parking lot and laying extra gravel access roads through the wetland to reach water's edge.

In addtition to tearing up/filling in the wetland, they are obviously dredging out lake bottom to make room for big joy riding boats.
