"2018 Turkey season is off to a great start!"
Zone 1 Public land, Juneau county.
weather was a little cold, with deep snow, but i didn't stop the birds!
Anyone looking to get out and hunt, give me a call i have a few openings left.
Zone 4, shot this one at 7:55 this morning (had to be to work at 9) called him and another Tom across two fields. Shot him at 15 yards behind my Tom strutter decoy. Snow is very loud and crunchy but birds were going nuts all morning. Had a flock of about 50 I was watching. These two crossed the street and I was able to pull them onto my property.
20lb, 10 inch beard, 3/4 spurs. First bird in 5 years.
Wow...central Wisconsin zone 3..
Extremely difficult getting around with all the snow...noisey....noisey...noisey....me and my dad....had 2 jakes at 15 yards but my dad didn't shoot but it was fun...tons of gobbling and yelping...we were on a big flock of about 50 birds with about 1/3 being legal shooters....the snow is going to be a major hurdle...good luck to all the brave...gobble gobble
