I just put my reservation in for the Ford F150 Lightning, cost me $100 down payment and if I ever take delivery I dont expect it for a couple years. Hey maybe something will change and I never take delivery. I got the ball rolling anyway.  Tesla maybe. For the money the Tesla truck is a superior product at a more affordable price than the F150.

When will Electric vehicles overtake gasoline vehicles?

Regarding Wisconsin utilities requesting a price increase.
6 weeks ago on these threads I laid the case for buying 2 regional utilites that will benefit from upcoming developments. Both utilites and another utility I bought are at multi year lows so i see these companies as current bargains in an otherwise over exuberant stock market.  I cant say anyone will get fabulously rich on ute's but the current price and the fact they should be steady growers for the next several years makes it sensible to consider.

“The proposal calls for an 18.5% increase in the cost for residential electric service by 2026 including rate hikes of 9.2% in 2025 and another 8.5% a year later. If the new rates are approved as proposed by the Wisconsin Public Service Commission, the typical residential customer would pay about $24 more a month than they currently pay.
In all, We Energies is seeking an additional $418.6 million from its customers over the next two years to cover rising costs associated with building new sources of power generation, grid improvements, inflation and rising labor costs.”

When I was a kid (picture 1975) the cool bikes were 10 speeds. Very tall wheels, extremely narrow tires. I rode one from Aurora IL to Geneva WI. Once. Those bikes are useless off payment.

I’m eventually going to ride my friends bike. I actually like the concept. Looks comfortable. 28mph is pretty good. Sound fun.

Its electric class type 3 top speed 28 mph 5 pedal assist modes
Tire size it's between the off-road tire and a regular bike they call it a commuter it's two and a half inches wide
I ride it without a pedal assist to the gym
But use pedal assist after my workout and go home it is the Shimano 7 speed and manual disc brakes.
It has turn signal brake lights and even a horn and a front light

I have a friend that has one and he likes it. The bikes would fall into a different category I believe. I don’t have a dog in the fight as I have never rode one.
