I had the awesome opportunity opportunity to pre-fish an MLF Series bass tournament on Pool 8  with my 19 year old son. This was our maiden voyage on this remarkable body of water, and let me tell you, the fishing experience was absolutely phenomenal. Not only did we reel in an abundance of bass during our pre-fishing session, but we also had the chance to catch some sizable northern pike and sheepshead. To top it all off, I even spotted a giant water snake that almost gave me a heart attack! The tournament the pattern changed drastically and my son didnt catch many but it was a great experience.

Fishing has remained pretty good for all panfish species.weed edges in 4-12' have been responsible for most of the fish lately. Looks like this heat wave is going to break..FINALLY! With that being said,  I expect fishing to be lights out here the next few weeks.  I've got a few openings left in September I'd like to get filled in.  Also ice season is filling in rather quickly, so let's get your next adventure booked today!

My wife and I fished with Capt. Mario of Lazy River Guide Service for a half day Friday AM, weather and scenery was amazing with fog hanging in the hills and bluffs along the river it was really neat to see. Mario was very professional and fun to fish with just a wealth of knowledge on the river. We kept 30 big perch and gills with a bonus walleye, we were selective and threw as many back. Just a fun time on the water and I cant wait to get back.
Anyone wanting to get out on the mighty miss I highly suggest getting in touch with Mario at Lazy River, you wont be disappointed!

Goodfishin all!

Bass are concentrated on wingdams. Topwater poppers have worked well for this really fun bite. Take the kids out there and enjoy the last bit of summer!

Since moving back north, I miss fishing down there on the Miss. The fish are a different breed, seems like they are always hungry and on the prowl ready to eat anything you present to them. Enjoy your videos-keeps me "connected" to the area

Great report Adam. Just wondering what bag limit is?
I know you can have 15 perch but can you also have a limit of gills and crappies? Don't get up there but would like to give it a try sometime.
TIA
