Peshtigo River

Fished 4/6 - Water temp was 40 degrees when I left at 1 and fishing was good enough where my kiddo out fished me.  All but one female had spawn in them yet.  Fished again 4/10 caught about 25 and all but one female was spawned out as water temp was 46.7-48.1.

Stopped by today around noon and it was an absolute zoo, both lots and the street were full of cars and trucks. I herd Larry Smith was there with his boat yesterday. Anyway, decided to go get the boat and head to Marinette. If you stop by support the Loins club and get a burger and/or something to drink, their trailer is in the parking lot.

How is the water level and clarity?

Water has dropped about a foot since Thursday. Water temp was at 40 this afternoon according to NOAA. Some fish starting to show up at the dam, not many boats out this afternoon. Happy Easter.

Fished below the dam today. Water has gone up about a foot  and the water temp was 38 degrees.
About a dozen trucks in the lot after the rain cleared up, I didn't see a fish caught.

Stopped by this morning, 23 degrees outside. One trailer in the lot and a couple guys fishing offshore. I walked out on the viewing platform and didn't see a fish, water is really low, looks like about a foot deep with rocks sticking out every where. Snow coming Friday and Sunday.

Drove past the dam today, just a few people hanging around checking things out.I was hoping to get some of that rain but it never came this far north. Now a week of pretty cold nights coming, I'm not expecting any earlier than normal run.

Many years ago, I spent 10 days fishing a the Menominee during the ice out period. The water temperature never got above 40 and by the end of the first week we were catching spawned out females. There's more to it than one thinks.
