Did pretty good today, 30+walleyes. 3 keepers, 15.5, 16 and 17.5. 3 white bass. 2 slots, 20.5 and 23. Had a guy in a boat come 20 yards out from shore in front of us. Kept casting at us on the shore and getting mad at us. Then, I had on a nice musky(accidental) and he crossed my line hoping to catch another fish because I hooked one, caught my line and broke my lure and fish off. Don’t be like that guy

Dams
Fished this past weekend with Ray,Pete! On a couple different stretches on the river, from Petenwell dam south. Gates are about a quarter of the way open, shoots about half way open, water levels continue to rise. With the warmer weather we had we went from 42 degree water temperature to 50 degrees, im sure this has all changed since we got anywhere for 6-8” of snow and it’s really cooled off again. Sure wish Mother Nature would make up her mind!!

All our fish this weekend were caught in slack water 2-4 feet 1/4oz jig tipped with large fatheads, did catch a few on plastics as well.

Anyone looking to book a trip, I still have openings in April, may, june

Good luck be safe!

Let’s go fishing!!

Drove down the east shore of Castlerock today! Finally lake looks to be ice free! Water levels are still on the low side. They have the gates open pretty good at castle rock dam, Petenwell there open quarter of the way, still lots of good flow. Yellow river in Necedah is very high and flowing good. Shouldn’t be much long for lake levels to be at normal pool.

Good luck be safe!

Won’t be long and the “Rock” should be ice free!!

Water levels are still very low. Looks to be some good water coming down the yellow river, yellow is a little bit higher than normal in Necedah and rising.
Hopefully with this week’s rain should get this going.
Good luck be safe.

Drove around the lake yesterday after stopping by joe @Bighornstore!
Lake is still very low, east side of lake the main channel from train trussel south all the down to devils island is wide open. There a little stretch open from citgo station west that’s opened up as well.

“West side”
Buckhorn bridge is wide open north and south of bridge. From little yellow down towards the dirty turtle  out east  towards to the old Highline polls area is still ice covered.

Few warmers days, rain and wind should get the lake open up soon. For now we just need some consistent warmer weather, get the snow melting so we get some flow in the river. Both lake and river are very low.

Good luck be safe!

Let’s go fishing!

Tough Country, I drove by the lake yesterday.  Open water by the Buckhorn bridge out for a couple hundred yards. Nobody was on the ice as far as I could see.  Today I was by the Turtle and Pine Cove.  There's no evidence anyone has been on the ice in the last couple days since it snowed and I didn't get out to check conditions but yes, ice everywhere I could see from both locations.  It's supposed to be 8 degrees tonight so the ice may grow a little before the warm rain comes later this week (maybe).
