Played around the lake today... We didn't try trolling water temperature was only 58 to 61... Found small crappie and walleye but did find one slot walleye and a bunch of white bass... Talked to one older gentleman he was not  catching anything and 2 others that spent the day trolling they said they got 10 shorts nothing else.. they seemed down... Maybe with warmer weather and water temperature should get fish going..
p.s. jet skis and big power boat running around already and pontoons with  empty wine bottles rolling around the deck..
The party is starting already...

Castle rock was producing today ! I did not bring any sort of live bait with me today. It was going to be all about trolling.

The day started off slow but started to figure out a pattern in color and where the fish were sitting. Speed was a big factor for us today too.

Ended the day with 7 legals ranging 15”-18” keeping 4 for dinner, some nice perch, bonus smallie at 16” let go to fight another day, crappie, and some whitebass.

Missed some opportunities with some loss fish by the boat including a low 20’s slot.

Let me know if you’re trying to get out!

Did pretty good today, 30+walleyes. 3 keepers, 15.5, 16 and 17.5. 3 white bass. 2 slots, 20.5 and 23. Had a guy in a boat come 20 yards out from shore in front of us. Kept casting at us on the shore and getting mad at us. Then, I had on a nice musky(accidental) and he crossed my line hoping to catch another fish because I hooked one, caught my line and broke my lure and fish off. Don’t be like that guy

Dams
Fished this past weekend with Ray,Pete! On a couple different stretches on the river, from Petenwell dam south. Gates are about a quarter of the way open, shoots about half way open, water levels continue to rise. With the warmer weather we had we went from 42 degree water temperature to 50 degrees, im sure this has all changed since we got anywhere for 6-8” of snow and it’s really cooled off again. Sure wish Mother Nature would make up her mind!!

All our fish this weekend were caught in slack water 2-4 feet 1/4oz jig tipped with large fatheads, did catch a few on plastics as well.

Anyone looking to book a trip, I still have openings in April, may, june

Good luck be safe!

Let’s go fishing!!
