Lake Kegonsa

It is pretty foggy this morning, but the north 1/2 of the lake is completely open and enough waves to indicate its probably open all the way across.

Looked mostly open from what I could see while driving on Highway 51.

Hi guys just wondering if the lake is still open or skimmed over. Heard a blizzard is moving in and I know lakes don’t make ice if there skimmed over.

You might want to check and see if the piers are still in at the State park.

Thanks for the info, I would be launching by myself too so without a pier to tie to I figured the launch unusable. Maybe enough space to beach the boat without damaging the bottom? And then back the trailer in alongside the boat? Agreed it would be easier with 2.

 Badger-my boat is  19 foot deep v tiller

badger-I usually put in at the landing off quam road this time of year,Although no pier, it has more sand on the shore than the state park,or williams point landing.I had to launch at williams point yesterday by myself and I much prefer quams road landing.williams road landing is not level and on one side of the landing there is a good size rock that will need to be removed.After I loaded up ,I had to re-align my boat on the trailer when I got near the rock river (piers are still in on the rock)because the trailer was on such a angle at williams point.Parking is very limited at quams.2 people would make it so much easier this time of year.

Curious where you can launch a bigger tiller boat (over 18') since the Fish Camp piers were supposed to be removed 10 days ago? Quams Pt launch doesn't have a pier either. I only have a Dane County launch sticker. Thanks !!

Not much happening for me, water is still murky. I would like to thank the guy at quams boat landing with the blue ford pick up and ranger trailer for taking up 1 1/2 stalls. Parking is limited to begin with. Grrr
