Lake Como

Doug and I checked the Ice on Delavan and Como today.  Ice Report video

3 bass , 2 northern, and 1 catfish tonight. Had 8 flags. Was out from 4:15pm-6:15pm. 

Catfish was 22", big pike 27", big bass 16 ½". Ice broke at shore now too. 

Fished from 1:30 pm til 4:30 pm. 6 flags, 1 fish. I blame the angler. Plan on going in the morning as I have a bunch of leftover shiners. Saw 4-5 other groups out there. Weather was nice. If anyone is going in the morning off of the SW launch stop over and say hi. I'll have my autistic son with me. Today was his first time on the ice. He loves the boat, but it took some persuasion to get his mom to ok an ice trip. He had a blast. That made my day.

15 flags after work. Between 4:30pm - 6:00pm. Caught 7 bass, 2 pike, 1 catfish by myself. Big bass was 19". Big catfish was 24". Big pike was 29". All released. Kept big bass in a bucket of water and got a good pic at shore from a local then let him go to grow. 

Finally got out fishing this afternoon, with the goal of a 26 1/2" Pike that i can make Sunday dinner with. I headed in a sw direction off Como beach and only made it about halfway to the indented location, but walking started getting a little tougher with slush and i decided just to start drilling holes and setting lines.

I got the three top-ups in and set up my chair, sat down and a minute later a flag goes up nice chunky 16" Bass. I release it reset the tip up sat down and realized i may have just thrown back Sunday dinner. Went the next two and half hours without a flag and then when I started to pack up another flag, this time a Pike but he measured about 5 inches short of dinner.

But i got out there for a while and i did catch both fish on the two flags.
