If anyone happens to be in the area tomorrow and wouldn’t mind posting a picture of the water I would appreciate it. Looking at fishing the Fox River Saturday and just curious if it’ll be worth it to come up from south of Fon Du Lac. Was up thereSunday and clarity was horrible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Goose99, I was out there Monday as well and had similar results. Turbidity today appears to be similar to that on Monday. Here is a link you can follow temps, current, turbidity, etc. https://waterdata.usgs.gov. We did happen to land one fish and had a few hits on hair jigs but fish, in general, were not very cooperative. Here is a look at the lower bay from a satellite, taken a few days ago. Good luck everyone and stay safe.
Haven't been down to the Fox yet this morning but I would almost guarantee with all the rain we got during the night and this morning it's going to be a sea of chocolate milk for awhile. The smaller creeks are running really high and muddy this morning and they all run into the Fox and the East River.
Partly Sunny 52°
Water: 38°
Fox River walleye run is far from done. Was out Monday with my brother and we managed to scratch one fat female 24.5” fish in about four hours trying a number of presentations. That fish was caught on a un-baited hair jig. Very few fish were seen caught due to muddy, cold water conditions. Had maybe 12 inches of visibility at best. Water was in 38° range which was the same it was a month ago. We marked an insane number of fish but they just weren’t interested.
Partly Sunny 50°
Water: 39°

I was out yesterday doing a scouting run. Water was pretty cloudy but not too bad really. Much better than the mud on the weekend. Water temps dropped a couple of degrees. Ouch. The highest I was found 39.1. This was in the morning. I'm sure it warmed up with our heat wave. The bite was slowwwww although good aggressive hits from the fish I did catch. The shallow bite was non existent. Hopefully we don't get a deluge in the next few days and the bite will improve greatly. Big winds are coming. Be safe out there.
@MidCitySlayer..don't feel bad.
Been from Guth's to Winneconne over last 10 years or so. Definitely no records, but rarely skunked. I do ok.
A friend asked me to join him in DePere. Always wanted to fish it, just never have.
Hit river about 3pm today, something like 20mph winds, 35 gusts. Looks like my tub, once my dog gets a bath, after we're home from a trip.
Let's all pitch in and buy pool filters. Lol
My buddy had a few nips, landed 2, one was nice size..
In 6 hrs, that's all we seen. I think one or 2 boats away, caught one.
I had something, but it dropped it, after about 5 seconds..
Hope things change fast.
I'd love to see what something like that feels like.
Even tho the wind was a mother... , and I didn't catch anything, it's a different style of fishing, than what I'm used to. I'm still having fun.
See what tmro brings.
Tight lines.... and please, be careful out there.
That wind changes, out of nowhere.
