Tom's right! He did get a nice 21 inch that I forgot about. Both Bob and I said it was at least 20 inches but Tom thought no way. But the tape measure doesn't lie. It was a beautiful fish that topped off a good day.

Fished with guide Tom Droste (Team Walleye Guys) from 11:30 - 4:30 in gorgeous weather on Thursday. Fishing was slow and we ended up with around 15 of which four were nice keepers. The goal for the day was to learn some plastics and we did. Tom worked hard to find biting fish and we tried, hair, minnows, and blade. My partner and I caught two each and Tom caught the balance. Shows that technique is important. Guide was good and I'd use him again.

The WI regulations book used a fish symbol right after the lake / river's name in the special regulations section, listed by county, to indicate a year around fishery.
Note for Sauk Co, the WI river (& tributaries) has the symbol. Good Luck out there!

Campjim, since Lunker is the man and is super clever and old school hardo about guys not knowing regs I’ll help you out.  5 walleye and/or sauger per guy per day. Can only keep 15” to 20”, can’t keep anything 20” to 28” and 1 fish over 28” can be kept.

Had a good time fishing with close friend and fellow guide, Jason Mata from J-Mata Fishing. Blade baits and plastics were about equal. We had to work for them but put a handful of decent fish in the boat. All of our legal eyes were between 17 and 19 inches.

I have next week and a couple more days in early March available if anyone wants to learn the plastic and blade bait bite. The Dells or Nekoosa, your pick. After mid- March I'm pretty much completely booked until mid-September!
