Can't speak for this week, but last Friday Saturday and Sunday the perch bite was on fire on the river.
Boats anchored along the docks and fishermen on the T-dock were both catching them. Really nice average size to them as well 9-12"
The whitebass were also starting to show up, but after this weeks cold front and precipitation/wind muddying the water I would assume the river is gonna be pretty muddy this weekend.
Good luck if you're planning to get out!

Fished right in front of Rainbow Park Saturday from 12:30pm-4:30pm. We like others caught some nice size perch either jigging minnows or pulling flies. A few sheepshead were caught. A couple older guys did very well anchored and catching perch and were using night crawlers. Did not have any of those along. Saw maybe 3-4 walleyes caught and they were all smaller than 12 inches.
Fished off the Tdock late this morning for an hour. The 3-4 boats pulling flies back snd forth across the channel were getting small males, one guy caught at least a dozen while I was there, he even had a double! Everything I saw caught went back. I noticed they were tipping with minnows, so I put a gulp on my single fly rig, couldn't get any bites. All the fish seemed out in middle of the channel. I tried down by the Convention center and that was a bust, and a ghost town.
