Anyone headed back to or out from town park launch...BEWARE.... there are 2 big 10' pockets of open water! Also about a5' wide river of open water coming off the left side of the island pretty far out from the island! Be very careful!! Stay safe!!
Ice: 5"
Walked out Saturday and Sunday out of the Town Park. The ice with the white frozen stuff on top is thicker, about 10" the clear ice was clear on Tuesday and now after the warm spell it was showing the early stages of honeycombing but still is in fair condition at 5". Tonight after 5pm the lake started to make good ice with the sounds it was making and on the walk back in there is new cracks and the crack from Devils island to the north opened up another inch. Saw a couple snowmobiles out there and a motorcycle towing 3 sleds today.
Sat. got 10 crappies and today got 6 out in 16 FOW

I wouldn't make the trip if you live far. Everything I have seen is showing either open water, open shoreline, or thin weak ice. We need cold temps before it becomes safe again. Seen a lot of videos of guys getting stranded on the ice due to high temps and winds.
Partly Sunny
Ice: 10"
Had anywhere from 6 to 11 inches of ice on Fox Lake. Launches are taking a beating from the people driving quads out yet but it won't matter since Temps next week are gonna be in the 40s and 50s. There were at least 40 people out on the lake focused mainly around the deep area on the lake and the first island off Town Park Boat Launch.
Ice was around 9" when I was out on Saturday on the main basin. Landings had quite a bit of water on them but were still solid. I would highly suggest foot travel only for the sake of the landings right now so our landings last longer. We are already having a terrible ice season, and beating the landings up isn't going to help. Plus it's super easy to drag your gear out there right now with no snow cover.
