Oconto Breakwater

It's the Post spawn right now. Just got back and here is how we did and what we used.

The ramps are still iced in, but with this warming trend it won’t be long before we have the boats out. I’m starting to book trips for March and April on the river and Green Bay. 2023 was an incredible year for big fish, and I believe 2024 will be even better. What's the water Temps in the oconto river? 

Fished last Tuesday in the harbor and the only bite was a small pike on my drop shotted minnow. Yes it was snowing and no perch.

Slow action. Little to nothing going on.

Anyone have a perch report?

Fished the Oconto river for the first time 7.23.23 in the afternoon. I put in at the Hi Seas boat launch and fished up to Holtwood park in town. Caught a bunch of small perch, rockbass, and smallmouth with only one 12" smallie and one 15.5" smallie. Mostly threw jerkbaits targeting deep pockets/breaks with submerged structure. Water temp was 74 and visibility was almost 5ft. 
I was planning on going further upstream but there was a storm rolling in. The river was shallow around Holtwood Park & Kwik Trip but still plenty navigable in a 14ft shortshaft v-hull with one guy (although I used the electric bow mount to be safe.). Gauge says 300cfs.
Does anybody know about how far upstream I could make it in this boat in these conditions? Obviously spring flood would be more navigable.
