GOOD. Water clear; 57 degrees; 2.32 feet below pool. White bass are good using a slab and jig combination near Pelican Island and on main lake humps and points in 25-35 feet of water. Only a slight movement of the slab is required, paying close attention for a light bite. Most days fish are hugging the bottom. Hybrid stripers are fair and are most often being caught in the same locations as the white bass. Eater size blue and channel catfish are good and continue to be the best bet to consistently catch fish. Danny King's Punch Bait on a treble hook fished in the timber off the Richland Creek Channel in 20-30 feet of water will load the ice chest. This pattern will continue into the new year. Report by Royce Simmons, Gone Fishin' Guide Service.
