Good win to even it up. Taillon was outstanding again only giving up 2 hits and 7 strikeouts in his 6 innings of work. Other than Taillion, Wisdom was the hero for the Cubs today.
Chi…Our bullpen hasn’t been that bad. They’ve logged more innings than any other team in the league. A little overworked with missing 5 of the original pitchers on our roster.
Good to see the long ball come back. Busch had some very good at bats.
Swanson is having problems with every aspect of his game. It seems like it’s in his head now and that compounds his struggles.
We can take the series tomorrow if we can get to Peralta.

Well what do you know. Cubs finally won a game. Brewers made some noise in the 9th scoring 1 run but the cubs held on a won this game 6-5. Okay rubber game tomorrow so let's try and win the series before the Padres come in for 3 starting Monday.. Well I guess a win is a win no matter how you look at it!

Whew.....Cubs hang on for the win!  Shaky bullpen. Swanson is having a very tough year.  Hitting wise he is way off and striking out a bunch.  Fielding wise he's booting the ball all over the place.  Even the last out of the game he didn't field the ball cleanly and he just weakly lobs the ball to second.  Way too close of a play.  But a win is a win.  Rubber game tomorrow.

Well I might of known it. Our starter (Tallion) pitches a 2 hit,7K shut-out for half a game only and our offense gets 5 runs and a so-called comforble lead 5-0. Okay our bullpen comes in and proceeds to give 4 runs back. Nothing new with that. Our bull pen IMO is the worst in the NL or maybe in the major leagues! Anyway cubs just scored a insurance run to make it 6-4 still batting in the bottom of the 8th.Wow Wisdom got two hits today ,a home run and a run scoring single just now. Okay inning over  with the brewers coming up in the ninth. Wonder who's gonna try and close this game out. Not going to hold my breath!  Okay we'll see what happens. 

Well what a new day can bring and so far it's a good thing. Cubs have jumped early and often so far and lead the brewers 4-0 bottom of the fifth Don't want to talk that loud yet for fear of jinxing them but I like what Tallion,our pitcher is doing so far to keep the Brewers hitters at bay.. If and when our bullpen takes over,i hope they don't blow this game too! Go Cubs!!

I’d be embarrassed as a fan if it was the other way around.

Yep,there are folks trying to stir things up on the thread but it also happens on the other side of the border (especially Packer thread). I can appreciate good nature banter between sports fans from opposing teams but some folks just like to take it further. 

Cubs still have the best roster (and proven Mgr) in the division (imo). Unfortunately, it looks like you found a stud pitcher from Japan and Steele is coming back soon. Brewers have been a real pleasant surprise so far..As I mentioned before the season, I am just hoping to see the young guys improve/get better for the future. Just don't think we have enough starting pitching to be a serious contender for the whole year (hope I am wrong). Expect the Cubs to be leading the division when it matters the most in Sept.    

Snake- I disagree about the Bears having to take one against the Packers  .They can take two from the Lions!! 

I fully respect the Cubs and my friends who love them. I love good sporting events, which Brewers/Cubs is. If you love  game, you love the rivalry. 
Just like Pack/Bears twice a year. Maybe we throw in a playoff game this year too. 
Bears have to take at least one from Lions and Packers.
My Cub friends have to feel good about their team. JMO

It will be a long season if the ignorant fans can’t just take the win and be happy. It’s ridiculous how they come out of the woodwork to troll the opposing side. I’d be embarrassed as a fan if it was the other way around. 

It will be a long season. This series isn’t over yet. 

They gave up 17 in one game. Brewers gave up 15 in 2 of the 3 games against the Yankees. The point is that losing by 2 runs is hardly a waxing

Did you only watch the game from the 8th inning on?
Up until the meltdown by our reliever, the Brewers had just 3 hits and 8 strikeouts to the Cubs 5 hits and 4 strikeouts.
