If you like watching birds or have any comments about a cool bird in your yard or something, this would be a good place to discuss anything to do with birds.

I think this is a juvenile sharp shinned hawk and of course some orioles.

What a wast using lime for the birds. Limes are for margaritas.

I’ve been putting out old lemons and limes for the birds and also cherry type tomatoes. They are hitting it.

The Oriole oasis is at full activity status.Few hummingbirds showed up a few days ago.

Was up at the cottage last weekend. Heard a woodpecker on and off while working in the yard.  Saturday night having a campfire with my wife when we heard him overhead. We looked up and there were two pileated woodpeckers!  They started squawking at each other.  My wife joked it’s husband and wife bickering.  Before you know it the mounts the other one!  LOL!   

Just had some white crowned sparrows.  Just passing through…

Had some orioles show up yesterday so I put out my oranges and grape jelly.  Woke up this morning to a grosbeak hitting the windows every few minutes. He's still at it, sure hope nothing happens to him. 

The hummingbird migration map shows multiple sightings in the north, time to put the feeders out.

I saw today that the sandhill crane I photographed on the nest had finally hatched their chick.  A couple of pics...not the clearest with the sun angle and weeds in the field. 

Was throwing spinners in the Northwoods middle of nowhere. 5 Trumpeter Swans had me thinking I was in a traffic jam! 
Drove 45 miles hitting some Trout spots & never seen another vehicle!!
Fishing  was poor. Next time..
