Wow,what a neat experience Mr. Port#1042

My wife and I woke up to odd noise in the house. It took a while to figure out what was going on but this hairy woodpecker was going from storm window to storm window and tapping on the glass. He's visited 4 different windows at this point. Taping on the glass make quite a bit of noise!

SM is that an African or a European swallow?

Well down my way J.J. When a cat was on the prowl,the crows and the blue Jays when we had them would sound the alarm. Just my comments of course.

I saw over 2 dozen different trumpeter swans today and a bunch of other types of birds.  Pics of a trumpeter pair, sandhill on the nest today, and a tree swallow.

This loon did its best to hide and on the way you will see we were ok and trusted.

Was a good weekend for birdwatching at the cabin, lots of variety! Missed a few photos ops, hummingbird, Red headed woodpecker( awesome looking bird) some gold finches and two Orioles, male and female.
