Fished Saturday out of Kensosha. With the cold weather and the incoming rain had the fish not biting super crazy. Alewives are loaded along the shorelines near and South of the harbor in 15-30 FOW. Coho seem to be getting caught more and more on coho rigs than body baits now. Hopefully this upcoming warm weather makes things continue to heat up for the spring bite. Video is of the days catch, tight lines! ?

Fishing has been pretty good. North or south out of the harbor in 15-25 ft. Flasher fly and flicker shads are a good choice.

Good job fish's. Glad to hear everyone is well and that you were in a position to help. I too had to pull in a person that had fallen overboard in heavy seas while fall fishing for kings a few years ago no life jacket on and was lucky I was able to toss her a life ring and then circle back around to to extend her our net to pull her to the boat and then aboard. Scary stuff and just another example of how things can turn bad in a instant out there.

The one who was in the water reached out to me today and filled in some of the blanks. They launched out of Winthrop Harbor several miles south of Kenosha and trolled north with the wind/waves. The boat was a 18 ft tracker tundra, the older version. They had a line get snagged and attempted to back up and took a wave over the transom. They then decided to just break the line and turned to go south and took another wave which capsized the boat. 2 on the boat and 1 in the water. Earls vest did not deploy the other 2 did. I think Earl said he was 73. One of them was able to call 911. I'm going to guess he was in the 46 degree water for 15 to 20 minutes. He told me he was about to give up and let go. When i put my boat in position to grab Earl the other 2 were able to jump into my boat and the 3 of us got Earl to the back of the boat and pulled him in. Earl was with his grandson and cousin. Rescue personnel was at the coast guard station and Earl was transported to a local hospital where his temp was 94. All are doing good. Quite an experience for all 4 of us

Well I happened to be in a position to rescue 3 people from a capsized boat.  Google it for the story.
