"Probably the wrong place to ask this question, but what should the minimal size be for a lake to permit wakeboarding ?"

I would rather see no size tied to it whatsoever.  Like said before, no ballast, major restrictions on distance from shore and depth, and restricted to a couple of hours a day would be a great start.

1500 acres, 700’ from shore, 20’ of water and only after all ballast water and antifreeze is removed.

Agreed, there has to be a line somewhere. At 1500 acres there are still over 70 lakes that would qualify.

Then it's up to local ordinance to limit days or hours if they choose.

Pretty strong results against wake boats.  Any prayer at all that we will see major changes resultant of this?  If we only allow wake boats on 1500 acre lakes or larger, that will just congregate more of these boats on 1500 acre lakes and larger.  Really going to be a zoo on larger lakes.

Staffing issues at DNR impact the ability of the department to function.   Funding for staffing, and the ability to create new positions is controlled by the senate, especially JFC.

I do not know the specific reason why it has taken this long for the data to become public.   I will certainly find out.   When I am briefed, I will post about it here.

There is absolutely no reason for it to take this long, especially since 90% of the input came online.

At this point you almost have to wonder about the validity of the numbers.

Not surprising considering how messed up some of the delegates are.
