Mississippi River- Pool 8

With all of this rain, can anyone tell me what the river is like out there?  I’m familiar with the gauge (https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=arx&gage=genw3), but not real sure what that translates to in terms of huntability and safety. 

I was planning to take the kids out for the youth hunt, but if it’s not going to be safe, I’d like to start scouting some other places.  Thanks!

I had two clients out today on the near La Crosse.  We left with a triple limit of giant gills, some over 9 inches. Also a few perch.  

@Pool8 thanks!  I was afraid that was going to be the case. 

As of the weekend the dam at Genoa was wide open. Lots of current.
