Last trip of the season today. Saw 7 or 8 huge flocks of 20-50 mallards and one flock of 100+ geese all heading south. Never had any birds get close at all. Kenosha County (Bong)

Anyone who has been hunting late season waterfowl on inland lakes  a lot sence before 2005 has to see the difference.

Pretty much all Inland lakes used to be very good late season every year.

Its no where near the same anymore. And I mean not even close

Today was a flash hunt. Been watching these birds for over a week and they still wanted in today. The hen shouldn't have been flying next to the drake..

Yeah I remember the late 1970 too. The entire sky was darkened for a week straight with migrating canvasbacks. whatever

A few birds here and there now...but nothing like it used to be. Late 70's.

Mid to late November....There were days and days of Cans and Redheads....huge flights of Bluebills.

Then the really late flight of Goldeneyes and Buffleheads....Hooded Mergansers....just before iceout.

Gone.

Idk? I sure would like another week or two of season yet. Don't care when the "push" is or was? I like hunting, shooting, watching and eating big heavy colored mature mallards. And they are around, now. Will be for a bit yet. And the lack of competition is nice also. Stopped at a river this morn. Walked up the river a bit to check a hole. Oh, man didn't want to spook'em so I couldn't see but sounded like a few.
