Ten Pound Walleye Club. Let's se them

10.9 caught on 4/11/15 WI River below Nekoosa. 

Never did weigh this fish but its my biggest so far.   31.5 inches.  Caught in june after the spawn.

Goons den,  17 to 26 inch walleyes are the the ones that do the majority of the spawning. As the walleyes age past prime most if not all the eggs they produce are dead. 

Cold Front,  Erie counts but you don't have enough room on one page to list them all.

10 lb walleye really doesn't mean much.  Now if you said 30 inch walleyes,  fine.  

I've seen 28.5 inch fish full of spawn go almost 11 lbs.  10 lb fish are NOT impressive once you mount it.  30 inch,  you'll get a big walleye back from the taxidermist.  

I've caught 30.5 inch fish post spawn that are 9 and change.
