Aaron Rodgers' comeback season will open in prime time, as the New York Jets will travel to the San Francisco 49ers to face the defending NFC champions Sept. 9 on ESPN's "Monday Night Football,"

it was announced Tuesday morning.
This marks the second straight season that Rodgers and the Jets will play a prime-time game in Week 1.

His Jets debut last Sept. 11 turned into a season-altering disaster for the Jets

And they drafted Aaron's replacement

Jets got RB Allen from Badgers.

This thread started out, is, has been and always will be about former #12. 

I never met the former #12 but it appears he likes to be skilled at baiting the press and some in the press tends to portray him as a self made buffoon despite his quick intellect and athletic ability.  There is no doubt the man is master of his own public image. Therefore all comments about former #12 are relevant and welcome. 

Hopefully in the coming season he has more victories than girl friends.

Gillespie, I’m independent and willing to sit down with anyone to discuss an issue.  Not on either tribe.  That isn’t always a safe place to be because arrows can fly my direction from both sides depending on the topic!  Always keeping my head on a swivel although my arthritis is a challenge.

He is one of the greatest bear KILLER/owner to terminate the Chicago bears. Hope he plays this year. Can not wait to see the show. 

Gillespie, why do you think I’m an Aaron Rodgers fan?  Man you sure jump to conclusions just because I don’t belittle the man.  Go back through the Packers thread a few years and you will see I wanted to trade him at least a year before Gute did.  You seem to feel it is impossible to agree on some topics and disagree on others.  I guess it is just a sign of the times where some believe one can only reside in one of two tribes and must never cross the divide that separates them.
