My first thought was miniature pinscher but again it's the ears that that don't make sense.

My money is on Dave.

Second guess would have been a Doberman, but the head and bodies are not the right proportions. Doberman as a puppy stocky body smaller head to body proportion. B&T larger head to body proportions as a puppy.

Where does the black and tan markings come from? Doberman, Rottie? Probably not a rottie you would see it in the face more with size..

ESOX.. you can get a Dog DNA test ($60=>$100). If you have her tested I am 99% sure you will find it is close to 100% Black and Tan..

I am sure your Vet can ID the dog as well, or run a Panel.
