And the Packers have gotten much better also with a proven NFL stud safety in McKinney and one of the best safetys in the draft with Bullard!

Think about how much better the Eagles got in the secondary, they got Mitchell and Dejean.

With a potential top 10 quarterback, I think it is still a good move. You can always use for trade bait or if cousins OK they may be able to trade him probably not with that contract but we will see. I think it’s a bold and exciting move.

I didn’t think you were old enough to remember those guys lol.  I’m still trying to forget Duncan.    BS aside, with all the great picks that the Bears have they are going to be a BIG problem for the Pack. Maybe not this season but for the next few years.

Carpio…The Packers haven’t had a #1 pick at quarterback since Paul Hornung and Randy Duncan.

Top.   Thats how the Packers draft QBs.    Let him sit and watch.     Fortunately for the Packers that’s Not how the Bears do it.

I think the achilles question is a valid one. You never know how someone who's getting up there in football years is going to recover. The interesting thing to me is Penix is already 24 years old. I believe Cousins deal is for 4 years? If Penix sits for a couple years, he's gonna be 26 as a rookie starter. Interesting decision.

I am OK with it. We don’t know if KIRK cousins is ever really gonna be able to do anything with that torn Achilles. He still may be serviceable, but when that quarterback is laying around, I have no problem with them, taking them pretty weak division and playoff spots are open for grabs, so we’ll see what happens.

What are your thoughts on Atlanta picking up Penix Jr?  Understand Atlanta is looking for the future QB but they just signed 36-year-old Cousins signed a four-year, $180 million contract with $100 million in guarantees, I may have tried to fill another important position and looked to next years draft since he is a bit injury prone.  Anyhow curious if others had thoughts or don't give a hoot but in the long run happy for Penix to get drafted at #8

They must make it so the whole 10 minutes of being on the clock is used up.

Snake, one year after your post below.  I like that the Bears got Carolina’s first round pick in 2024.  Bad for Fields.
