Excellent on flies, stay with shallow lakes, 10-15 ft. because of cold crummy weather so far.  Hit a 106 acre 10 ft lake recently, slabs 14-15 inches.  Females loaded with eggs.  Don't take any limits, leave spawn.

No only flies.  I don't fish crappie after May, they get soft.  Fished a lake near my house that also has trout in it.  Got two Browns, 1-23 inches, the other 25 inches.  5 lbs I would guess, released.  My largest was a cpl yrs back, 9 lbs.

Hey Flyrod Man, are you still on Crappies? Do you also fish plastics and minnows?
