Looking for some advice for my 10 year old female. She has always been an increadible dog, huge part of the family. She recently started "leaking", happens mostly at night but its something she cannot control. Took her to the vet and the found a few large stones in her one as large as almost 2". They reccomend we have them surgically removed and then a strict special diet of a certain food that most dogs hate, no treats or table scraps. We currently have her on antibiocs so she is feeling more comfortable. Vet thinks its probable that the stones may come back again after surgery. Surgery is about $1500 and dog food is $30 for a small bag. I am looking for advice from anyone who may have had to deal with this. I want to help her but afraid there may not be any other option than to have her put down. Thanks for any thoughts or ideas.
