I thought I posted on this thread but don't see it. My apologies if I double up.
2004 Prov1900SE. 225 Opti 9.9 Bigfoot. 80lb cable steer MinnKota. I bought the boat used around 06 I think. The previous owner had 4 deep cycles wired in for the 24v MinnKota. I did a lot a musky fishing then and it was nice to have. After having to replace them not so sure it's not just overkill. No real issues since I've owned it. It's been a great boat to fish out of and for water sports with the kids. It's more than I really need now.
Only pic I have handy. The truck has long since been replaced.
Thanks dale forgot about cabelas but if I can is like to stay closer to home cabelas is 3 hours away. 007 lives same area as me so just wondering ware he got his competitor there is a dealer by wausau that sells both merc and alumacraft but they have to put yamahas on the ones they sell you can get one with a merc there but you void all rebates from alumacraft. They might be feeding me a line of poop
2016 Phoenix 921 ProXP
250 HP Mercury Pro XS
112 lb Thrust 36 V Minnkota
HDS Gen 3 Lowrance 12 up front
HDS Gen 9 Lowrance 9 in dash
All compartments LED lit
Hot foot and blinker trim
I have a 2012 Crestliner 1546 Retriever, a glorified jon boat, which I've always been partial to. It's actually as much , if not more of a duck hunting boat. No live well, which is fine , because I usually fish for bass , catch - photo - and release. The few times I do panfish I just take a cooler along. There is a nice gun box / rod holder built into the boat. There is no wood in this boat at all and it's built like a tank, yet very light for it's size.
This boat is ideal for me as most of my fishing is done on small lakes. A lot of times I never turn on the motor, just use the trolling motor. Plus it pulls nice with my SUV. I'm very happy with this rig.
2005 Glastron Fish and Ski - repowered in 2010 to a 150 hp Etec.
I put around 150 hours per year on her. The bow seats turn upside down form a fishing platform. The rear seats pull off and can be attached to the bow or stern for fishing seats.
It has a trolling motor that attaches with a thumb screw and only takes around 1 minute to put on.
It is not the best ski boat or fishing boat but has a live-well, ski locker, fishing pole holder, and ski pylon for yanking the kiddos around on skis or tubes. It does everything ok, but certainly does not fish as well as a Lund, Crestliner, Mirro Craft, etc...
Good all purpose boat, holds 8 people, and really fun and comfortable just bumming around in and swimming with the family too.
Had her reupholstered last year as well as had new carpeting made by Kendor.
After 11 years she's starting to get some dings on the outside, it's long been paid for, so I'm thinking on taking her to the Fountain of Youth for Boats to get new bumpers, pin striping, and some gel coat work. Boats cost enough that it is worth sticking the cash into them to keep them looking good.
2016 Alumacraft Competitor 175 Sport LE. 150hp 4-stroke Mercury. 80lb Terrova Ipilot w/link. KVD Series Helix 9 in the back and Helix 9 sonar/gps up front. Just picked it up Wednesday.
2005 Scout 185 Sportfish with 115 FS. The 'Cast-A-Holic'. Purchased after living in Georgia for a while. Hoping to get back to Wisconsin soon but have not decided if I will keep this or sell and change to a multi-species boat. Great boat and I know it would be great for Lake Michigan and good for many inland lakes so I likely will keep her.
FYI, four batteries, two for the Trolling Motor and two for the rest of the boat, 2 dual battery chargers, all plugging in with a single plug... Priceless. Five minutes to plug in, never need to worry about having dead batteries.
