Mercury Digital Owners Manual

Why doesn't Mercury provide free digital owners manuals? Just purchased a new Optimax Pro and I can't get a digital manual to read through as I travel. They'll take my $11k for the motor but can't give me a free digital manual!!!

Cruiser...could you get your hands on the 150-175 Pro XS OptiMax owner's manual (90-8M0087002 1213)? I called Mercury Customer Service and was basically told they don't send them out as its a product they receive money for. Guess the initial sum of $$$ on the new motor wasn't enough to get a pdf.

maybe you could have your dealer get one for you? seems incredibly customer unfriendly to charge you for an owners manual... I was able to download a manual for my Yamaha for free http://yamahaoutboards.com/owner-resources/owners-manuals EDIT: I was surprised that Mercury only offered manuals for a fee... do you have access to an owners part of their site by registering your motor?
