I have a 17 foot fiberglass boat, has been in the water all summer on a very dark lake. Looking to get it cleaned up this week. Any
Suggestions on a product that might work well.
All them so-called proprietary products are nice, and expensive. I've been using Dawn dish soap on fiberglass and aluminum hulls for as long as Dawn has been on the market. Always finish up with a good wax.
If you have a fiberglass boat and left it in the water all summer without a barrier coat and bottom paint you've probably damaged your hull. Gel coats are not designed to be in the water that long and will start to "wick" moisture and blister.
