Just wondering what the price range for a 40-80 acres yearly lease is in your part of the state. Figured this thread can only help hunters out, so we dont go to landowners with a ridiculous offer.

We pay 1,000 for 40 acres in the central part of the state.  No complaints here!

The last lease my group had was from about 5 or more years ago.  I think we were paying about $1200 for 67 acres heavily wooded in Marquette County.  My uncle said it was a good deal at the time. That's probably at the lower end of average for the area.  If you can even find a lease on decent land I would jump on the opportunity because leases for a fair rate are hard to come by.  We would still have the lease if the owner's kids didn't want to use it instead.

For a 40 anywhere...offering less than 500 would be a ridiculous offer.  I'd say 800 or $20 an acre until you get into the larger parcels.  200 acres you could scoop for 3-3,500.  Larger the parcel the price comes down a bit.

Example,  last year in Crawford Co,  800 acre pieces were going for $12,500
