Here is a 36.5" pike I caught early November. This makes my 4th pike I have caught in the 36" range in my lifetime. I keep trying but cannot seem to land a bigger one. My brother has a 26 lb from Wisconsin (caught the last winter we could use smelt) and my father has a 17 lb northern. I will keep trying. Usually the big one always seems to get away as they like to bite when I am fishing for some other species and thus not rigged with fluorocarbon or wire leaders.

I haven't caught a lot of quality pike in my lifetime, mostly the 20-26" snakes that inhabit a lot of waters in southeastern WI. This fall I caught a 38" in my kayak... which was a personal best by 7" that I had set a few weeks before in the kayak. The 31" was the one jumping over my net.
