Muskie School: March 12, 2016, 15th Anniversary

You are cordially invited to attend the Capital City Muskies Inc. 15th Anniversary Muskie School to be held on Saturday March 12, 2016 at Waunakee Wis. High School. The public is welcome, no need to be a member to attend. Doors open at 7:30am. You may choose 3 Classes to attend from a selection of 28! A delicious catered lunch is provided for all who attend. We are offering 3 new classes to the curriculum this year at the request of past attendees. The cost is $35 for adults if registered on or before March 7th. $45 after that date or the day of the school. Kids 17 and under is $10. ***For those of you who register on or before March 1 you will be eligible for a drawing with the prize being a $200 Gift card from Dorn Sports Shop in Madison, Wis. We will also have our CCMI raffle and a special 15th Anniversary Super Raffle as well several silent auctions offered. Bring your checkbook! The 15th Annual Muskie School was a huge success with just over 200 students attending for the sixth straight year! We would like to thank the 25 instructors for their time and commitment in making this event one of the best of its kind in the country. Our students are demanding that we continue the school each and every year and they return time and again. Thanks to all, CCMI Muskie School Committee.

If you would like to attend the Muskie School this Saturday we now encourage Walkin registrations. Look for the Waunakee High School entrance on the East end. A boat will be parked at the entrance. Doors open at 7:30am for registration and free refreshments. The Opening Plenary session starts at 8:20am. The first class will begin at 9am. When you come in to register you will pickup a list of classes for the day. All classes are open except for the 3 Reel Repair classes: now full. $45 for adults and $10 for kids 17 and under. Two raffles will be conducted after classes and 4 Silent auctions. An excellent catered lunch is included with your registration. We hope to see a few of you there!

The Wisconsin Musky Expo is a great show! Nice lineup of vendors and speakers. We were able to signup 3 people for the Muskie School slated for next Saturday March 12 while we were at the Expo. (Capital City Muskies Inc. Booth) Hopefully a few more today. Monday March 7 and Tuesday March 8 will be the last days to actually send in registration for classes and still get your return confirmation in the mail. I will hold a confirmation letter for you at the Registration table if we get late entries. We encourage Walkin Registration the day of the School. Be there by 7:30am-7:45am to sign in and be ready for the Opening Plenary Sessions.

If you are still interested in signing up for the March 12 Muskie School you can get the early bird registration fee of $35 if you have your entry postmarked on or before March 7. Checks or money orders. We are not set up to collect online or electronic pay as yet. We still have 3 openings in the Reel Repair class at 9am. Also 3 openings in the Reel class at 1pm. All classes are open for registration except the 10:35am Reel Class which is full. We will have a booth at the Wisconsin Muskie Expo: Capital City Muskies Inc. Forms will be available for signup. Walkin registrations are welcomed the day of the school at Waunakee High School. The price at the door will be $45 for adults but $10 for Kids 17 and under. We would like to see you there!

Monster Lures owner Bill Buechner will give every kid 17 and under a Rabid Squirrel Bucktail if they are present and registered at the Muskie School! This is a very generous donation and we appreciate it. Grab bags for each are also provided. Those students 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. We usually have 20-25 kids out of the 200+ students who attend. They have a great time.

Several have asked if there are still openings in the 3 Reel Repair class. Yes, we have 3-4 openings in all 3 Reel Repair classes! All other classes also have plenty of openings for registration. Although the Bemidji, Minn. area class was recently canceled as the instructor had an unexpected calendar conflict. Only 12 days away to signup and become eligible for the $200 gift card drawing for early bird registration! Also all those who sign up on or before March 7 will save $10.
