Fishing in the UP

Looking for some info on fishing up there. I will be moving up there to the town of Escanaba to go to school. Will be there for little longer than a few weeks only from April to May just wondering if there any river that the walleyes come up in or if ice fishing will still be going on around that time Pm with info tight lines to all.

Walleye will be closed there is some trout to be had on a gear restricted stream..no clue on lakes to ice fish
