How's it looking this year? Acorns plentiful this year? Deer numbers up or down? Bigger bucks being sighted?

yes saronfish, that does help...I did the same thing on my mac at home but still couldn't decide. I believe it is the 10 pt and he just lost that much though. Hard to say 100% but thats what my gut tells me. Crying

TheChief- I was up last weekend and the woods have definitely opened up some. But I would say that about 50% of the leaves were still hanging on then. They were falling pretty good though.

adubs, I'm finding our bucks have lost inches. My family/friends were just up for the youth hunt and didn't see a single deer but they don't go to the out of the way places that I do. 3 hunters hunted 2 days and didn't see anything. I have one picture of a fawn in June and that's it. I'm bringing 3 purple heart recipients from around the country up for 4 days of hunting/fishing starting Thursday...not feeling too confident about them seeing anything. If anybody is interested, come find us. The heroes will be staying at Scenic Drive Resort in Delta and eating breakfast at the Delta Diner daily... Good luck to all, Chris

put a couple cameras out last weekend (late start this year due to our NM elk hunt that consumed my every thought) and checked them today. Got pics of one good buck but can't tell if it's the big 10 from last year just going down hill or a good 9 pt putting on a few good inches…I'll try to post some pics and you boys can give me your thoughts. Chris are you finding bucks from last year adding inches in general or losing inches due to the tough winter? I had several doe pics but not a a single fawn with any Crying date and time are wrong obviously on pic

Bayfield County, Chequamegon Forest land Was starting to get worried because we were getting more bear pics than deer. Moved cameras around and finally found an area w/ a few good bucks.

Just spent a month up in Bayfield County helping a bear guide out. Lots of bear wolf and coyotes. They all contribute to the low deer numbers. I will be back up on October 15 to hopefully trap and lower the wolf population by one. Chris2fur sounds like you have the perfect setup to trap a wolf.
