Wolf River, Stephensville

We fished yesterday morning and wound up with a bunch of small males. Thursday and Friday a bunch of big spawners came through but we've had a hard time getting nice males to eat. Warmer weather should make casting better.

We had a nice afternoon yesterday and found sitting and jigging was better than drifting. A bunch of snags up here and it seemed a couple fish would move up shallow and feed and then there would be a lull for awhile with nothing.
Surprisingly 1/8 oz jigs shallow wound up being the best for us. 4 kept but a couple lost, all spawned out.

Drifted and cast shadraps last night. Surprisingly the bugs were not too bad. Had one 18" and lost another right before dark.

Been out a couple times each week lately. Most evenings we get a couple fish but it has been getting better. I think the water warming has made them more active. Dragging crawlers has been best but you also get a few suckers,

A quick trip yesterday morning, caught only one male bit did lose another. The fish seemed to be holding in a deep hole.

Water's high but the fish are coming back. We had one spawned out female and a couple of Males this morning. You need boots to launch!
